Year Wrap

Ah! Finally 2022 it's at its end. Whaaaaatt a giant rollercoaster year this was. But this time I could say that this was my year. I'm so proud of myself for getting up every day and facing every single day with no complaints, or I may say very few. Every year of my life has been a dramatic change from my teenage years, but this time it was different. I looked at things differently, I did not lie to myself, and I didn't pretend to be someone else. I was true to myself.

I've always felt like I'm doing this for too long and one day I'll surely succeed. But life does not come this easy way. You have to make hard choices. After a very long time, I'm writing this. I was so consumed with things happening in my life. The past few months have been so hectic not with work but with an enormous amount of mental degradation. I always felt that I'm losing myself bit by bit. Living on your own is not as easy as I thought. Slowly and gradually I could see messed up adults to whom I always looked up. The last few weeks have been a lot dealing with the fear of abandonment, anxiety and multiple breakdowns. Being a responsible adult is shitty but anywho you have to be one.

But in all this, I have some of my really closest people cheerleading for me now and then. I genuinely appreciate them not knowing how I'll pay back them.

The year made me go through all hardships be it some major health issue of my closest person, be it love relationships, friendships, career, academics and whatnot. But all these were worth joy and gratitude. I met some amazing people who were genuinely generous towards me and made me realise that I belong in this world. I was caught up with so much that I did lose some connection but that too made me close to my favourite people.

But I can say that this year made me stronger and happier. I learnt to express myself clearly and put my stand whenever needed. I met a person who is the best thing happened to me till this date and every single day I express my thankfulness to have him in my life. This year made much more sense just because of him.

I hope and pray that upcoming year becomes more productive, purposeful and filled with all the best opportunities that helps me to grow towards my goal.

There Is No Magic Pill

What is mental well-being? Some may say it is a kind of way of life or attitude. But, many people are not even aware about it. In brief, Mental Wellness is the mental condition in which someone acts in a way that contributes to their own happiness and wellbeing. The overall well-being can be affected by physical health, social relationships, and environment. Mental wellness helps to create emotionally stable and sound life. Did you know that 50% of all visits to primary care physicians are because of mental health problems? And depression is the leading cause of disability among individuals 15-44 years old. This article will give you an idea of the importance of mental wellness to your healthcare.

Mental wellness is a crucial part of human survival. Without the proper mental health, the body physically slows its processes. This can be seen in depression, PTSD, and other instances where the mind is not functioning at 100%. It has been found that people with an unhealthy mind are 80% more likely to die by suicide. Mental health is also directly linked to other health issues as well, such as heart disease and diabetes. The reason this happens isn't fully understood but is believed to be related to inflammation in the body when someone is under stress. When someone suffers from anxiety or depression, it directly affects their immune system's ability to function properly. Which creates a chain reaction of poor health and leads to diseases like cancer and heart disease.

When it comes to life, the little things count.Celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small.

We're only human and our brains are wired to focus on the negative. So, when we get a bill or fail an exam or have a bad day at work, we let it take over our lives. We beat ourselves up and dwell on everything that has gone wrong.

But what about all the things that have gone right? Like, you got out of bed this morning! You did it! You took a shower, you brushed your teeth—you even put on deodorant like a boss!

Let's celebrate those little victories together today and start appreciating all of the good stuff in our lives.

If you or anyone you know suffers from mental illness, it's important to seek out treatment in any way possible. Treatments can include medications, talk therapy, and lifestyle changes. The most important thing to remember is that mental illness isn't something that can be cured overnight; it takes time and work to get better! So don't give up!It's okay to feel like you need help—and it's okay to ask for it.

There are many reasons why people seek help from mental health professionals; you might be experiencing intense feelings of sadness or anxiety, life changes that have upended your sense of self, or maybe you just feel like something is missing.

Whatever the reason, know that there are people out there who specialize in helping people who are feeling less-than-great. When in doubt, reach out to a professional, or someone you trust. If they can't help you find the right person, they'll certainly be able to point you in the right direction. And remember: There's no shame in seeking help, even if the person you're talking to doesn't end up being the right fit for what you're looking for. It's always better to try than not try at all!

No two people respond to stress the same way. What works for one person may not be helpful for another. In many cases, self-care consists of simply recognizing that stressful events are taking place, and making a conscious effort to relax and reduce the levels of stress you’re experiencing. With that in mind, remember to take at least some time each day to relax and unwind. Even if it’s nothing more than closing your eyes and breathing deeply for a few moments, it can help keep your mind clear and provide much-needed rest.

It's important to remember that your mental health is a priority, and it's okay to take some time out of the day to focus on yourself. Here are just a few things you can do to take care of yourself:

Plagiarism is a Problem for Sure

Since the lockdown and the rise of online classes, plagiarism has been at its peak. Not just limited to the students but the content creators on the internet are also victims of plagiarism. The rise of plagiarism has led to the downfall of creativity in the industry. Every individual has tried to use someone's content to stay relevant, be it on the Internet or just sake of the assignment. There should be a plagiarism check to hold control of the content that is been produced. So many of the creators need plagiarism checks so that they are sure that they are credited well. While being on the Internet there are so many articles we go through every day or every single minute. We too sense many times that some articles are plagiarised and need a strict eye on them.

How to identify if the content is plagiarised?

• There are so many different types of plagiarism check apps that tell you if the content is plagiarized or not

• For teachers, if you think you're student is using a plagiarism technique, then just copy their research paper's sentence and paste it on any free plagiarism check website.

• If any content creator feels that they've done plagiarism, then they can just type out their content on any plagiarism check website to make sure, some of the plagiarism check websites also help you to check your grammar.

Sometimes we too feel that ideas are plagiarised. However, there is a particular definition of plagiarism, that is, copying or stealing the content of the original author or persons without giving credits.

Occasionally, ideas can be the same but it depends if you give credit or you don't.

Just as in the above picture, there are very few original ideas and loads of copy, some of them being credited and some are not.

Why is plagiarism a problem?

It's but obvious that plagiarism is immoral because it's like stealing or looting ideas. It is like being dishonest towards the actual creator. As human beings, we need to honour the author of the work. We all live in a society with certain ethics and rules and such unsaid rules should be followed to keep society healthy.

How do we avoid plagiarism?

• First and foremost, if you're a writer, after jotting down your ideas, use a plagiarism check tool to avoid any plagiarism. If anything such is detected try to change it or give the credits.

• Use your brain, you are an educated person, use your imagination to make content, don't just blindly depend on the Internet. We all used to write and work even before the Internet existed.

• The best way to avoid plagiarism is to use quotation marks wherever needed. That defines where you have taken from.

• Use a variety of references to help yourself while writing content on anything or anyone.

• Be aware if anyone has used your content, you can take legal action against the person.

What legal actions can be taken?

• If it is proved that plagiarism has been done then the owner of the original content can put Copywrite infringement on the other person and could get the money he/she has earned from his content.

• If there's plagiarism in the assignment then the teacher can fail or deduct the marks of the student.

• In the United States, if the person is found doing plagiarism then he's fined between $100 to $50,000, also one year in jail.

• Self-plagiarism or using your content is also not allowed, since it's seen as being dishonest and a form of literary theft.

Taking Up A Lot Of Energy

Yes, you read it right, today I'll be talking about, how people, things and thoughts takes up your hell lot of energy. There are times when certain type of people trigger you or specifically trigger your peace of mind and then what you do is try to explain them or just avoid them, and I'm the 2nd type. I completely avoid it and I just don't do it people I do it for all the three things mentioned above. But sorry to burst your bubble, if you're such a person then it's completely wrong, somewhere I read or heard this that accepting your thoughts will reduce your burden over the things. Like , a lot of time you just push yourself to stop thinking or divert your mind , but eventually that leads to consuming more of your energy. So, what should people like us do, simple, address the elephant in the room, that is, think about why are you thinking this or why is this person consuming my energy or why this thing which should not need so much of worth taking up my energy. In the first case, talk to your closest friend, so that you'll get a perspective, then talk to yourself, try creating peace with the thought, like okay fine this is what I'm thinking, let just thought be there, don't unnecessarily add anything , then talking about a person, think how much are you giving and why do they owe so much to you and finally is the person worth, because not all people are there to have a energy that is supposed to be yours and now you'll be thinking how to identify such people, simple, if you're getting tired after talking to them and 2nd if you're confused about them. Solution?...no don't ghost, try talking if that's difficult for you, make a peace with how much you want to give, START CREATING BOUNDARIES AND DON'T FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT, I guess that's enough, next if any task you've chosen or been given to you and that's taking up your energy , then remember every task will surely has a THE END, and according to you if it's not ending then simply take a back step and let it happen it's own, but remember if it's your task, create a deadline for yourself and try putting up energy, just don't be harsh on yourself. Finally , make a peace with everyone and everything that's happening. You never know what miracle is happening for you.

Not Gonna Lie 🙊

So, first of all happy friendship day to all the people who came in my life and taught me different philosophies, that were just part of books and novels. From childhood I am a friendly person, even though I changed many schools I received love and friendliness from every classmates and schoolmates. So many people I lost contact with but they are still really close to me as I think of them, thanks to Instagram I got in contact with some of them, even though we just wish each other on birthdays or just reply to each others stories. While I was growing I learnt many things, my friends have always played a important role in shaping my personality. To be honest I really don't think I have a original personality because every person who crossed path with me has helped me change myself in a better way. I have a habit of taking things (obviously talking about behaviour) from my friends. For example, if I have a friend who is silent and introvert, I'll also take the introvertness and then behave as a introvert in front of a person who is loudest and extrovert, strange I know right. But this is how I've been from childhood.

But whenever I say friends I only consider few people. Because I'm friendly but not friends with everyone. Some people lost this position as circumstances and situations changed. Still I talk to them because I really don't like losing people, that makes things weird and rude, if anyday they still come back , to avoid this situation I act casual. Besides from this I don't hold grudges against people, that's a complete waste of energy. Just remember no one is permanent, everyone are just part of your journey, you'll always meet new people with different minds as you move forward.  But also make sure if you can make efforts to keep the old ones do it, don't expect anything back from them. Change is eternal, you have changed they also have changed.

BEACHES AND FANTASY

When you read beach, immediately you start thinking about sunsets, peace and calmness. Don't you?
But sorry to burst your bubble, when in reality you go to a beach it's full of people and chaos all around. To be specific it's commercialised. What? Don't you agree?
As avid fictional reader, my imagination for a beach is beautiful and empty. But when in reality I go to a beach my enthusiasm is drowned already. So recently I been to Daman and to be smart enough I didn't go on a weekend to find it empty. But to my amusement on a working day too it was full of people, and I was like,"Why on this earth, people are visiting a beach on a working day?" Then I remembered, I'm not only the smart person who thought of the above scenario. So in Daman there are 2 big beaches, and both were full.  After a few minutes of drive I decided to give up and go back home and I'm no more interested in watching a sea and land. But this is not only a incident that made me feel sad. Apart from this, commercialisation near the beaches made me sad. If you will ever enter Daman , there'll be series of hotels, motels and spa centres. Also, a fun fact, Daman is famous for cheap beer and wines. So you'll find many wine shops too. The problem I have is excess of hotels and resorts, that too luxurious ones. The space they take reduces the beach part. The main attraction of the place is hidden by big luxurious hotels, I really don't think it's necessary. Besides the congested it looks :( Anyways, I really don't think that there's a solution for it. As the economy is the lowest in the country, tourism sector provides contributes much of it. Also, nowadays people just want to lay back and enjoy wherever they go , they just want to sleep in the cosy beds for the hotel room and not go look around. Likewise, Daman has become a hub for shooting for many TV serials as the sets in Maharashtra are shut due to covid. So the need for the hotel rooms for the staff is necessary. But I really feel sorry for all the natural places that are becoming commercialised under the name of tourism. What do you think? Is it fine under commerce sector . Comment.
